Raz Rewards app for iPhone and iPad

Raz Rewards is an exclusive service for current students attending participating universities and colleges. Raz Rewards’ mission is to incentivize our users to make their college years count. With the rising cost of a college education and the drastic increase of student debt we want to encourage students to develop professionally and personally in order to position themselves for success after graduation.
This application allows eligible students to earn rewards for their eligible activities relating to our four pillars: Career, Community, Social, and Wellness. To earn points users may record the location and time spent at work, volunteering, participating in events on campus, or living an active lifestyle. In addition, numerous sponsored events will be posted on the application by schools and non-profit organization, which allow students to earn points once they scan the QR code set up at these sponsored events. Each hour of eligible activity is worth 10 points and rewards, offered by businesses around each participating school, are unlocked at each 100 point increment. Rewards are stored in the application and can be redeemed only on the device of the student that the reward was issued to.
The use of the application is seamless for each user to record each event. Eligible personal events can be started at a fixed location and any time the user’s device is within the event radius the timer will record the time and award points each hour.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
